Pensé comme un véritable écosystème artistique, Studio Juillaguet offre des infrastructures professionnelles au cœur d’un environnement propice à l’exploration, à la recherche et à la production.
Le domaine s’ouvre sur un parc arboré, propice aux explorations sonores ou corporelles en extérieur.
De nombreux artistes choisissent d’y développer des installations in situ, des improvisations ou des moments de détente au contact direct de la nature.

Creating in harmony with the living world

Nestled in a preserved landscape, Studio Juillaguet has been restored using local and natural materials, following an environmentally conscious approach.

An agroecological vegetable garden and a collective compost nourish the soil and sustain a virtuous cycle. Meals — simple and flavorful — are prepared with locally sourced ingredients: producers from the markets of Salles-Lavalette or Villebois-Lavalette (10 min away), an organic craft brewery, a local organic bakery, and nearby growers. A cook can also prepare meals on request.

Everyday life here follows the principles of energy sobriety, recycling, reuse, and ecological care.
At Juillaguet, art unfolds with the rhythm of the seasons, in a continuous dialogue with nature and the surrounding land.

A spacious, flexible hall for dance, theatre, and music

A 100 m² space with a high-quality professional dance floor hosts rehearsals, choreographic residencies, theatre sessions, and group workshops. Bathed in natural light and open to the outdoors, it offers complete immersion in the creative process.

A recording studio with three distinct spaces

The studio includes three rooms (6 m², 30 m², and 100 m²) and a spacious control room, allowing for multiple recording configurations.
Its sonic qualities and excellent acoustics support a wide range of projects — from solo sessions to large ensembles — all connected to a 24-track control room for professional recording in optimal conditions.

Each project is reviewed individually to determine service pricing.

Accommodation designed for creation

Juillaguet welcomes artists, trainees, and visitors in a warm and functional setting.

• 7 comfortable, light-filled rooms, equipped with single or double beds, with shared or private bathrooms.
• 2 independent cabins nestled in the greenery, for those seeking privacy and full immersion in nature.
• Central heating ensures comfort and well-being in every season.

Living and sharing

Each resident can choose their own rhythm:

• Self-catering, to prepare meals with local products from the Villebois-Lavalette market, the organic bakery, or the nearby craft brewery.
• Or opt for friendly catering, highlighting simple and tasty dishes made from organic and seasonal ingredients.

The park as an extension of the studio

The accommodations open onto a vast wooded park, ideal for relaxation, walking, meditation, or outdoor workshops and rehearsals.
Terraces and shared spaces encourage encounter, exchange, and conviviality among artists and visitors.
